Kenn began working in the steel industry in 1973 as a shipping and receiving foreman for The Weston Company in Gainesville, Virginia.

In 1983, Kenn joined Arrow Metal Products as the Corporate General Manager responsible for sales, estimating and the bidding of jobs.

Kenn joined J.B. Kendall in 1993 as a sales representative for steel, aluminum, builders hardware and stainless steel.

Kenn along with Lieu Nguyen and Leonard Gavor founded Alliance Steel & Fabrication in 1995.

Kenn's first job with Alliance Steel was as the General Manager responsible for estimating, marketing, invoicing and employee relations.

After the retirement of Leonard Gavor, Kenn became the President and General Manager for Alliance Steel.

In his current role, Kenn has primary responsibility for:

	Sales of all products and services for Alliance Steel
	Job cost estimates
	Overseeing the production of shop drawings and detailing services
	Negotiating client and vendor contracts
	Marketing and Staff relations
